Working On Craft Show Items...Wanna See?

Tis' the season!  Am I the only one that feels like time suddenly escapes us once we hit October?  I mean.  I am so terrible this year.  I am VERY much into my Christmas cards and all of the fun Christmas projects.  I am also pretty much in control with things that I want to get finished up for an upcoming craft show that I was asked to participate in.  Here is a SECRET though...I have NOT gotten my kiddos their Halloween costumes yet.  I know.  I just got our decorations for Halloween up YESTERDAY!!  :)  Wow, I just looked at the calendar...we are only TWO weeks away!  Oh well, it'll all get finished.  Right?!

Well, like I said, I have really been getting into Christmas already.  I *love* this season.  What's not to love, right?  The music, the decorations, the tree, the company (ooh, if I am lucky enough--I will have earned a present or two, also)!  *love* *love* *love*

The project that I am sharing today are ornaments that I make each year.  I have created some others with different images.  I will post those soon.  This snowman image is not Stampin' Up!  Yes, every now and again I do purchase from other companies.  It's not too often but, hey I'm human.  We didn't have any current snowmen that were large enough for my ornament.  This Snowman is from a set called Be Jolly by Avery Elle.

I bought my ornaments from the craft store (they are porcelain).  I stamp my image in Jet Black StazOn ink.  I then color my them with Sharpies!  Yep, that's it.  Of course, I can not do many projects without a little bling--I add glitter where ever possible!  :)

I hope you enjoyed the project today!

PS...Did you see the baseball game last night?    The Cardinals lost. Man, I have to say that I get emotionally invested when it comes to the Cardinals.  I should have posted another Cardinal Christmas card yesterday.  It's all my fault.  Oh well, there is always next year.

Today's card is a bit difference in size than my normal A2 card.  This card is square and measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

Here is a look at the inside:

This is the final card created with the Beauty of the Season stamp set that I have to share with you right now.  I hope that I have inspired you to give this set a try for yourself.  You can see THIS post and THIS post for two other cards that I created.

Let's GO Cardinals! Beauty of the Season; Stampin' Up!

Are you a St. Louis Cardinal fan?  Well, I hope so.  :)

It's so fun to live in this city during playoffs!  I felt it only fitting to share another Cardinal Christmas card!  Woot!  Woot!  Let's GO Cardinals!!  Let's get 'em tonight!  Oh how that would make my Hubby SO happy because it's his BIRTHDAY today!!!

Your Bird card for today...

With the help of the awesome Blendabilities, I was able to create a nice clean Cardinal bird.

My favorite part of this card is the "snow" that I added with the gel pen.  I love how it looks on top of the red bird.

*TIP*  I cut the "edge" off of the Burlap Ribbon and took strands off to wrap around my card.  This is very similar to using the Linen Thread (I had ran out of that).
