Check out my little sweeties! I just ordered these from Shutterfly. I know, I know. I didn't order them through Stampin' Up! but, I had a coupon for these and I have not had the time to figure out how to make cards on My Digital Studio. I will someday. *sigh* But, for now I am super excited to get these back!

I hope that you are enjoying your holiday season. It is flying by soooo fast. I just finished up with my final 2 craft shows this weekend and now it's time to plan Jacob's 4th Birthday party. Yeah, I planned that one well. His birthday is exactly one week before Christmas! Whoa!

I have gotten my annual sinus infection (just kicked in last week) and boy is it hard to stay focused on getting anything done around here.

I hope to post some pictures of some projects that I have created over the last month or so. Stay tuned!

So, how are you? Well, I have been busy, busy, busy! I will fill you in on a little "personal" life information....my family and I are moving in ONE month. We are not going across the country just across the city but, a move nonetheless!

I have been going through the house room by room and closet by closet. I am planning on having a moving sale or two because we have SO much stuff. My husband and I have been in our home about 10 years. I have had a garage sale or two but, this time A LOT must go! I have not gotten rid of a single item of my daughter or son's clothing since they were born because I was not sure that I was done having babies:) but, alas it's time...I've got the best of both worlds with my little girl & little boy!

We (my husband and I) are just looking forward to seeing how our future will improve with this move. It's a little sad packing up but, we are excited to start the next journey!

There you have it. That's what I've been up to. So, help a girl out...I don't need to pack up one more box of JUST cards, do I? Nope, I'll make some more when I get all set up:)

I made this card a few months back. I was inspired by the color combination that Julie Davidson had used. I have been a follower of Julie's for a long time. I love how simple but adorable all of her cards are. I tend to spend way too many hours on one card sometimes so, she inspires me to take it easy (sometimes:)

I know, I know I go weeks with NOTHING and here is two in one day! Like I said in my last post....I have LOTS of finished things but, I find it hard to sit down at my computer to edit, add watermarks, AND then post. Too much work, lol...just kidding:) If I knew that there some folks out there looking foward to seeing what I've made maybe that would get me going....HINT, HINT...leave me a comment:))) thanks in advance!

I first saw these cute little chick creations last year. I have wanted to make them since then. So, finally the other night I was ready to give it a go. What do you think? I *love* them. I had to change the bow on the one from pink to green because my 3 year old son came in and saw them and I told him that I didn't want him to see them because it was his Easter card (at that time I was just going to give one to my daughter and son to share but, he says "Mom, you need to take off that pink bow 'cause I need a "gween" one". Well, that was too cute so, there you go Jacob, Mommy made you your own Chick card!

I've Been Challenged!!

Ok, Jackie...this one is for you! :) For everyone else, I left a comment on Jackie's blog about how much I liked the layout of her card and how I was going to make some just like hers! And, then she challenged me to post a new picture on my blog. It has been too long and I'm sorry for that! I have lots of finished cards/projects. Would you like to see them?

So, here is the layout that Jackie used! Here is her blog post, gotta check her out. I just love her creations! I pretty much copied her exact card with a few little exceptions. Let me know if you have questions!

On a personal note: we received about 10 inches of snow between last night and this morning! My husband was luckily off today anyway! I'm so glad he didn't have to get out in this and is able to stay home with us today. He is about to take the kids out to play. What a great Dad!!

Here's a project that I never showed you for some unknown reason??? I made these purses for both my mom and mother-in-law for Mother's Day. The front pockets held a gift card to their favorite stores. I also threw some chocolate in there. I got the template from Becky Roberts. I love how these turned out!

Elegant Wine Label

I was asked by a friend to create a wine label for a sister. Her sister was being given a baby shower and she wanted something special to give her friend. This is what I came up with. I used the Baroque Motifs stamp set *(a set that I turn to quite often when I want elegant). I also used the Stampin' Up! computer program: My Digital Studio for the words. I added a little dazzle with platinum shimmer paint & a few rhinestones! She loved it and so did her friend:) I'm so happy that it was a hit!

Well, I can officially say that I have a kindergartner! It was a fun week. :) My baby is NO longer a baby but, she is however, a little firecracker. I tell you, she is just like her mother;) She wanted to walk into school by herself on day 2. I didn't let her but, by day 3, I did. She was just so excited to "do it on her own". I could not deprive her of that. She knows where she is going because she is in the same classroom as last year (the preschool has moved buildings). OK, enough about me...onto today's post!

Here is a card that I made at the end of the school year last year. Ummm, I didn't even give it to the teacher. I actually ended up making them something else. I don't know if I took a picture of her gift (I'll look) but, this card didn't match the gift. Now, I just need to remember that I have this on hand should I need to "thank" her teacher for anything...such as thank you for listening to Allison all day...I know that she goes on and on and.... You get it:) Well, what can I say-she gets that from me too!

It's My Anniversary--My SU! Anniversary:)

Well, next Monday is my Wedding Anniversary...7 wonderful years! And, while I could go on and on about how awesome my hubby is and how beautiful my two little ones are....I am actually here to tell you that today is my 5 year Stampin' Up! Anniversary!

Today I reminded my husband that HE was the one that gave me the go ahead and get the demonstrator starter kit! I decided that after I was home with Allison for about the first 6 months of her life that I was going to have to do something with myself and it definitely would not hurt if I could make some money while I was doing it!

Can I just say that I am so glad that I discovered this company?! I have loved every night (and every spare minute in just about everyday;) that I am able to escape to my little stamping studio. I enjoy every aspect from creating to sharing!

What a week it's been! My hubby goes back to work tomorrow after a MUCH deserved 7 days off! We have thrown a party, relaxed a day away at my sister-in-laws pool, went bowling (a first for the whole family), gone out for dinner, and just plain had a great week! Ugh, back to normal! Oh well...it can't last forever! :)

This is a card that I made a while back and I am pretty sure that I cased it from someone out there. So, if you are the original designer please let me know so that I can give proper credit. It is so sparkly! I had planned to add ribbon to the handles and I will. On Sunday, this will house the ketchup, mustard, plasticware (lol), and napkins. The lid will stay open and no one will see the top anyway so, I will add ribbon later IF, no one spills anything on it:)

I know that I have said this before but, this tin is "so much cuter in person"!! I have never claimed to be a professional photographer. Maybe that will be my next hobby! :) Although, I have a great camera (thanks to my sis-Christine:) I think I would have to fork out some even bigger bucks to get one with all of the bells & whistles. Maybe when I hit the lottery--because right now I have new stamps and accessories to buy from the new catalog. Priorities, you know?!!

Father's Day

I printed on Whisper White Cardstock and used ink pads and blender pens to color in the image!

The inside sentiment is from the stamps set: All Holidays (it's the only stampin' I did). I even printed the "King of the Grill" sentiment right onto my Pumpkin Pie cardstock!

If you are like me you may have gotten pretty busy this past week or so and forgot that you needed to make a Father's Day card...Uh Oh! Here is my favorite little "Mini Me" at her 1st EVER softball game! She did so good!

Just making sure that you are entertained;) This little guy lives at the zoo.

Sometimes, I feel like my house is full of these animals!

Well, this is me with my little ones: Jacob (2) and Allison (5). We went to the zoo

last week after I had a mini crisis and had to have my car jumped just to get out of the garage.

I ended up getting a new battery later that day. We ended up having lots of fun!

Here are the secret projects that the girls and their moms created last weekend during the Mom & Me event!

The girls made the little purses with the oh-so-yummy chocolates. And, the moms made the sweet picture albums. (click on the pictures for a closer look) I took a picture of each girl with her mom and had the photos printed so that they had a picture of the special day. We put them right into their books!

Oh my goodness- today was so much fun!!! I have to say that this class is at the top of my all time favorite list of classes that I have held. I only hope that the girls had as much fun as I did. I will say that Allison told her Daddy EVERYTHING that she did today and she seemed giddy about every single project. That's makes me happy!

Here is a picture of all of the little ladies (& their mom's...and Aunt Nini-I'm taking the picture) with their special "treasures" bag that they created. The girls were so creative! A big thanks to everyone that came today, I had a blast and hope that you did too!

I will be posting a picture of the secret projects that everyone did. I think that they were a big hit!

Beary Cute Boy Version

Hi there, Stampers! Doesn't this girl remind you of me? lol... All except for the cute and curvy body and the fluffy hair (I use a flat iron or mine would look like this, hee hee). I think she is so cute and the stamp set was too perfect for me to pass up!

Well, Totally Tess is only available until April 30th because she is in the Occassions Mini Catalog so, if you would like to add her to your collection you better act quickly.

The designer paper that I used on this card was from the Sweet Pea paper pack. This item is also from the Occassions Mini. You *need* to check out that mini before you miss out of some great products!

Ok, so first off I have to say that this card was NOT my original design. That's what happens when you go strolling through blogland...inspiration strikes! Or, I should say that the need to "copy" strikes, lol?! Check out the original creator, Dacia Smith, here.

I changed only a few things...my card is missing a sentiment (I still need to put one on there:), I used a build-a-brad and Dacia used one of the new brads from the current mini, I used grossgrain ribbon and she used the new satin ribbon.

I chose to make this card because I *loved* the flower made out of the hearts!!! Remember, you can purchase this set and Stampin' Up! will donate $2 to the Red Cross in efforts to help Haiti!

Well, I can only say that I hope all of you have managed to stay healthy during all of this crazy weather we have had here in St. Louis! I have had everything from a sinus infection to a stomach virus and my latest adventure...pneumonia. I tell you what, I (and my family:) have been miserable. But, the good news is that I went to the doctor yesterday and she says that I am getting better (according to another chest x-ray)...YEAH, that's all I needed to hear. I feel better just after hearing that, I know, I am crazy! I have missed my routine and I definitely missed my craft room! So, without further ado, here is a sneak peek at the upcoming Scrapbook Class. This Tuesday (Jan. 19th @7pm), we will get together to complete a 12x12 layout featuring a couple of *NEW* products! I'm sorry that I have been MIA. My desktop has suddenly stopped working (as in, it won't turn on). I am trying to stay positive...send me some good vibes ladies. Of course I have not printed every picture that I needed to or saved any of my pictures to a disk like any SANE person would have done. I have someone looking at it and I am hoping to hear some good news-soon!

A little bit of good news...I have finally taken the time to figure out how to get my laptop to print wirelessly!! I have only had the printer since April and I picked this one because it had wireless capability. YEAH, Go Me!

So onto today's post...I have completed the projects for the next session of the Handmade Gifts classes. In the third class of the series you will be creating this beautiful journal, ribbon bookmark, and beaded pen!

I wanted to give you something to look at today so, here we go:

Well, I made this framed piece of "art" a couple of weeks ago for a wonderful friend of mine, Ashley. It was her birthday and I wanted to give her a little something to brighten her day.

I used the new In Color: Melon Mambo, So Saffron, & Basic Black card stocks. I used black craft ink and embossed the silhouette with Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. The frame I used was meant to hold a 5"x7" picture so, obviously that was my starting point with the measurements.

Sorry for the delay in posting! This is the third and final card that we made at this past Tuesday's technique night featuring: Poppin' Pastels. TIP: The scalloped square card was made using the New Sizzix Scallop Square. You just fold a piece of cardstock in half (using a piece of 5"x8 1/2" card stock) and make sure you place your fold down about half of a scallop so, that you don't cut off the top. That's a little confusing to type:) If you have questions let me know and I will try to explain it better!

Reinker Watercoloring Technique

Have you attended Technique Tuesday in my Stamping Studio? Well, if you answered no, then what are you waiting for?? I thought I would give you a sample of what we do at class. Usually, I teach one technique a night but, because this one was a little time consuming due to drying time, I taught two. I will take a picture of the Technique Book that everyone is adding to every month (but, it's never too late to start one yourself!) and post it soon! I thought I would share this wonderful technique with you. I got the directions from Patty Bennett (a stamping legend, lol:) who got them from someone else. Next Class Date: JULY 21st (time tenative: 6:30/7PM) Featured technique: Paper Piecing (tomorrow's post will show a card that we will be making) 1. Stamp image on Shimmer White Cardstock using White Craft Ink. Heat emboss with Clear Powder with a Heat Tool. 2. Generously spritz paper with a spray bottle filled with water. Spray until there are puddles of water. 3. Use an Aquapainter to dip into drops of classic reinkers and just "touch" the tip into each section. The ink flows inside each section because of the embossing but, will also blend nicely when you add more than one color to a section. 4. Use 2 or 3 drops of coordination reinker colors in any combination that you wish (classic ink). 5. Clean the Aquapainter when applying a new color. 6. Let dry (20-30 minutes), cut out, and apply to your card or project. *I used Pacific Point & Kiwi Kiss (which are both retiring). I'd love to see what you come up with! Oh boy, I just found this picture on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Site! How cute is this outfit?!! Allison would love it and I think that she would look so cute in it! When I get a chance to do this I will get a picture and share but, in the meantime you should go alter something. This flower would look great on an inexpensive tote bag or a plain white T-shirt for yourself (the possibilities are endless).

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM May 07 Central	Mom, Dad, & Grad Card Class Show all of the special people in your life you care with special greeting cards handmade by you. Learn how to create an adorable Flower Pot card complete with flowers for your Mom for Mother's Day (*or you could change the sentiment for a lovely birthday card). You will create a total of 6 cards (2 ea. for the different occasions)-envelopes are included. Class fee: $15 RSVP by: Tuesday, May 5th
6:30 PM - 10:00 PM May 15 Central	Celebrate National Scrapbook Month It does not have to take days, weeks, or months to get your memories onto your scrapbook pages! You will feel excellent after you complete this class-you will have TEN pages ready for photos! 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM May 19 Central	Technique Tuesday This months featured technique: Shake, Rattle, & Roll. This class is open to everyone! You'll make a technique page for your book and if you don't have one I'll start one for you. Each month I teach a new technique and you will create 2-3 projects all for only $10! RSVP today!!
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM May 24 Central	Contain Yourself: Stamp Camp How do you feel about learning how to make 3 great gift packaging ideas? Here is a card that I made a while ago using my Big Shot. Have I told you how much I LOVE that machine? Well, I do! The Big Shot is so versatile! If you don't have one you need to put that on the top of your MUST HAVE list:) I used one of my favorite color combinations on this card: Regal Rose, Only Orange, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White. Another Wedding Card...

This quickie card can be used for a bride-to-be or a Wedding card! I dyed the ribbon to match the Elegant Eggplant ink. This is really easy to do!

Here is the how to:

Take out the ink color that you like and a piece of white ribbon (I used the Taffeta ribbon from SU!). Now, this is where it gets a little messy if you are not careful-holding the ribbon on the ink pad, pull the ribbon across the pad over and over until you get the desired color. You could place a sponge dauber on your finger to avoid stained fingers but, most of you know that I don't mind having inky fingers...gives me a sense of accomplishment! :)

An Egg-cellent Easter

Here are a couple of cards I worked on the other night with a new favorite Wedding/Bridal Shower set called, "For the Bride". I picked this set because it was NOT my normal style. I thought that I'd play with it and see what I could come up with, I must say, I really like these cards! Let me know what you think! (I heat embossed all of the "brides".)

Wow, I have been thinking about this blog a lot lately:) Sorry it's been awhile. Have you missed me? Hopefully I will be back regularly and will be able to entertain you with some of my creations!

Here is something that I did for an upcoming Stamp Camp. LoVe YoU muCh...

Ummm....can I say that there is PLENTY of room if you would like to come stamp with me this Friday night:) I'll even reduce the cost to $12. The candy won't be provided but, that will just give you an excuse to run out and get some chocolate! Just let me know by Thursday evening if you would like to get in on the fun. Even if you don't typically give Valentine's to people you can learn how to do these creations and with changing the stamp sets ANY of them would make cute little gifts for any time of year!

My Little Kiddos

Here are a couple of pictures that I have been meaning to post. My little cupcake is on the right. She was the cutest cheerleader. She went as a "Rock Star" to Trunk or Treat and she was easily convinced that she should be a cheerleader for her Halloween Party & Trick or Treating because I let her be a Rock Star already. She was cute as a Rock Star too! Here she is enjoying her cookie that she got to decorate how she wanted! She added marshmallows, m&m's, sprinkles, and of course-icing! YUMMY! Here is my little guy...Doesn't it look like he is trapped in a cage and he is GOING to find his way out?! He was trying to get to his " Big Sissy", who was busy playing on the playground. He wasn't bothered by his costume at all! The giraffe was perfect for him as he is in the 95% percentile for his height. So, there is a personal post for you. Hopefully, I will have some Christmas things to post soon. Oh, I know...maybe I'll get some pics of the Colossal Christmas Card Camp...I know that you ladies will LOVE that:) Julie B (#1, lol) Thanks for the nicest comment that you left on my last post-it made me smile!!!
